New Bluesky Account for the Doctoral School |
The Governing Council approved that UPC will no longer use the social media X (formerly known as Twitter) for its institutional communication. This decision is in response to changes in the platform's direction, which have affected the veracity of information and moved it away from democratic values. This contradicts the principles of UPC, such as academic rigour, freedom, respect, ethics, and social responsibility. These changes have sparked a public debate about the use of X. Several institutions, media outlets, and European universities have closed their accounts on the platform. The Doctoral School will stop publishing on X to maintain communication in environments that guarantee the quality and veracity of information. You can follow us on Instagram and on our new Bluesky account. |
